Nadya is survived by her sister Patricia Potter of Utah, her daughter, Shelley Ragland, son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Kim Crutcher, and three beautiful grandchildren, Austin (8), Dylan (5), and Mason (18 mo.). She was born on December 7, 1939 in Compton, Calif. to William and Mildred Potter. The family moved to the Artesia area then the San Joaquin Valley as they resided on a dairy farm. As a teenager, her family moved to Lake Elsinore where she completed high school. Nadya married and moved to Riverside, where she lived for some years and graduated from the National Business Institute with a 4.0 GPA. She then moved to Ventura County in 1978 where she took more college courses in business and accounting. She obtained a real estate license in 1987 and worked in real estate and loan operations. In 1988, she married Arthur S. Hackney whom passed away in 2006. Nadya was a caring and loving mother. She was an excellent cook and an accomplished seamstress as she would sew for hours. For those who truly knew her, they will miss a dear and sweet friend. We will miss our dear beautiful mother dearly. Arrangements under the direction of Griffin Family Funeral Chapels, 1075 E.
