Clarence Ernest Blosat, 91, doctor of chiropractic of 55 years, died peacefully and went home to be with his Lord at the Camarillo Healthcare Center on May 13, 2010.

Clarence was born the third of four children on September 25, 1918 in Pittsburgh Pa. to Emil and Maime Blosat. Clarence lettered in football and graduated from Bellevue High School in 1937. He also served as president of the Bellevue Baptist Youth Association. While playing football in high school he injured his knees and sought treatment from a chiropractor. The results were so dramatic he decided to make that his life's work.

Clarence attended Duquesne University and graduated from the Universal College of Chiropractic in Pittsburgh in 1942 and the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago (formerly, the National College of Chiropractic). He was licensed by the Pennsylvania State Board of Medical Education and Licensure as a "Drugless Physician" and began practicing in 1946. He was also licensed to practice chiropractic in Kentucky and California. Clarence was a Charter member of the American Chiropractic Association and the National Chiropractic Association. He served as State President of the Pennsylvania Association of Drugless Physicians and secretary of the Allegheny County Chiropractic Society.

In 1978 he and his family moved to California and he began practicing in Camarillo. In 1985 his son David joined him and they practiced together until he retired in 2001.

Clarence met the love of his life, Marjorie Stahl, when she came to his office for treatment. They were married in 1950 at Bellevue Baptist Church and remained happily married for 45 years. Clarence was a member of Bellevue Baptist church in Pittsburgh and Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Camarillo, California.

In 1957 Clarence became a Master Mason and eventually achieved the 33rd degree. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite. He received the "Golden Veterans Award" in 2007 from the Grand Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons of California for 50 years of membership.

He is survived by his brother Norman Blosat of Holly Springs, North Carolina and his son David Blosat of Camarillo, California, grandchildren, Kelly Garrett, William Skelton, Michelle King, Kim Lesinski, Marjorie Wood and Natalie Gillespie.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Marjorie, his sister Dorothy Blosat, his brother William Blosat, and his step sons William Skelton and Charles Skelton.

A graveside service was conducted at the Mt. Royal Memorial Park in Glenshaw, PA on Thursday, May 20 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Norman Blosat and Dr. David Blosat officiating and a memorial service will be conducted at the Calvary Chapel Nexus (Mobil Ave. campus) in Camarillo on Saturday, June 5 at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Bob Carpenter officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for donations in Clarence's name to the National University of Health Sciences in Lombard, Illinois and/or Through the Bible Radio in Pasadena, California.
