Gaetana Bailets, 94, of Thousand Oaks, passed away on Monday, June 28, 2010.

She was born May 20, 1916 in Pittsburgh, PA to Caltado Blandino and Josephine Caramana and had been a resident of Ventura County for a year, coming from Lancaster, CA after residing there for over 40 years. In addition to her role of wife, mother and homemaker, Gaetana worked in the medical field of nursing as an R.N, having served proudly as a Navy nurse during WWII and later serving the civilian community for 20 years. She loved her community, belonging to the Women's Club in Lancaster and long walks in the outdoors where she spent hours admiring nature for hours on end.

Gaetana was preceded in death by her husband Roy Jacob Bailets; sisters, Rose, Sue and Josephine; brothers, Tony and a baby brother.

Gaetana is survived by her daughter, Karen Kahmann; son in-law, Michael; her son, Roy Mark Bailets; daughter in-law, Violeta, her missing son Kevin; grandsons, Kristopher Kahmann and his wife Katie Kahmann, Chase Kahmann, numerous nieces and nephews, their children and spouses.

Memorial Services will be held at 11a.m., Wednesday, July 7, at Griffin Family Funeral Chapels, 101 East Wilbur Rd., Thousand Oaks, CA 91360
