Marianne Wilson

Marianne Wilson passed peacefully into God's loving arms on July 25, 2010 after more than 30 years with Parkinson's disease.

She was born in Redlands, Calif., on Dec. 14, 1938 and lived in Ventura County for 51 years, most of those in Newbury Park. Marianne's greatest joy was loving and supporting her family in all things, particularly the simple tasks and events of each day that led to their happiness and success.

Her family was her pride and joy; her flowers her signature. She loved flowers; the scent of gardenias, the color of hyacinths, the shape of lilies and tulips. When there was a noteworthy event or a milestone reached, her family and friends were guaranteed a grand party or celebration!

Marianne is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Richard; daughter and son-in-law, Dianne Wilson-Graham and Roland Graham of Newbury Park; daughter and son-in-law, Cindie and George Rhoderick of Redding; daughter and son-in-law, Cheri and Doug Samuelson of Agoura Hills; sisters, Dianne Andriese and Rosemarie Witte; and five adoring grandchildren, Morgan Graham, Kevin and Crystal Rhoderick, and Tim and Kelly Samuelson.

A celebration of Marianne's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28, at Christian Church of Thousand Oaks, 301 W. Avenida de las Flores, Thousand Oaks.
