Daniel Curtis Somers was born Oct. 2, 1927, in Grand Rapids, Mich., and passed away on Oct. 9, 2009.

He served in the Navy and worked as a textbook salesman for over 30 years. He put his deep faith into action through service at his church, encouraging others and befriending many. He was very active in his children's and grandchildren's lives. He was an avid golfer and loved to read and learn. He is survived by his wife Kathy and their five children, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services will be held at Crossroads Community Church, 161 Plaza La Vista, Camarillo, Thursday, Oct. 15 at 1:30. Arrangements are under the care of Griffin Family Funeral Chapels, 1075 E. Daily Dr., Camarillo, 93010, 482-1166.
